woohoo!!

I just won tickets to Reba and Kelly Clarkson on the radio!! I'm so excited...I never win anything. I was going to the store and I heard to call when you hear Reba. On the way home I heard it and called 3 times. Third times a charm, because it rang for forever, then the DJ said I was caller 13!! YEAH!!! Then he asked me what my favorite Reba song is. My answer, "Uh, um, I can't think of one!" Hello!!! She has had billion songs, I could probably sing along to a good portion of them and I couldn't even come up with one song of her's. So I said, "Every other weekend." (the one that was playing when I called.) "No, give me a different one," he said. My answer again, "Uh, I don't know I really can't think of one!" Such an idiot! I thought he would edit that part out when he played it on the radio, but no. I got to sit there and listen to myself sound as stupid as I thought I would. Oh well though!! I won and get to go to the concert for FREE! I saw Reba at the Stadium of Fire a few years ago and she was awesome. I don't care too much about Kelly Clarkson, I don't really know much of her music. Hurray for me!!

Learning new tricks.....

Claire is getting so big and strong. It's crazy how fast they change. She rolled over for the first time today!! She did it slow enough for me to capture her at every position!

Almost there...it's hard to get that arm out from underneath!

I DID IT!!!

Then back onto her back

She may have done it earlier but I probably don't lay her on the floor as much as I should! (If you know Caleb, then you know why!)

Time for a new post?

We went to California...again!! :) Not for as long this time....we were only there for 10-11 days! I wasn't as good about taking pictures, but I got a few! We went for Cassidy's blessing....forgot my camera though! Here's what I did get....

Claire in the bouncer...she looked so cute in it!

Caleb obviously was not getting enough sleep since he fell asleep while he was on the computer!

Claire and her little friend Taya! We went over to the Shouse's house one day and had lots of fun!

Claire in Taya's "Bumbo" chair. Totally cute chair that she can sit up in...I just can't get myself to spend $40 on one!

The kids playing in the Shouse's backyard

Avery, Chloe, Hailey and Caleb

We went to Leatherby's TWICE while I was there...it's so good!!!

Yes, Abbie had this pacifier in her mouth at Leatherby's....she got some funny looks from some kids that were there!!!

The kids outside Leatherbys except for.....

Caleb! Maybe due to lack of sleep?? Maybe not!

The day we left....

Claire looking up at Great Grandma
Gotta get in one last game of Go Fish!
Cassidy! Abbie
One last picture before we left!

Sleepy Caleb

Caleb is just like his Mommy when she was a kid (and I guess a little bit now too!)...he can fall asleep anytime, anywhere!

He totally fights taking a nap, but he'll fall asleep in the middle of eating if he's tired enough!!

Notice his hand in the bag of cereal...

extreme makeover

Jeff and I were in the computer room last night and Chloe came in looking like this.....

I couldn't stop laughing. She put my make-up on and did a great job. I especially love the dark eye shadow on the eye brows. She's looks absolutely beautiful! (she gets on my blog and reads everything!)

Catching up

We had a super fun (and tiring) 4th of July weekend. I love when it's on a Friday and Jeff doesn't have to go to work the next day. Last weekend we went and say Glenn Beck at the Marriott Center. He's a great speaker. Also, Michael Ballam, an amazing musician was there as well. He played/sang some patriotic music. I'm so thankful for this country and that I am an american. It is such a great blessing. I love holidays like the 4th and Memorial Day to remember what a great opportunity it is to live here and to celebrate that! I've always loved our country but being married to Jeff has made me realize even more, you can't get too much more patriotic than he is.

Jeff's sister Melanie and her family were here. Chloe and Caleb loved playing with their cousins and had a great time. We left home early and went to the Freedom Festival parade. This year was really good (last year wasn't so great)!! Trying to put all the US presidents in order....I gave up after I got about 15 done. Jeff did really well on it though!

Caleb getting his groove on!

After the parade, everyone came over for a BBQ. We got the slip n slides out and had a great time!!

Kids...who knows what they're doing??

To finish off the night, we went to the Stadium of Fire to watch Miley Cyrus and the fireworks. We didn't actually pay to go inside, but we sat outside and had a perfect view of the big screen, so as far as Chloe's concerned, she went to a Miley Cyrus concert. It was fun, but I'm glad that I didn't pay to go in, since we didn't know any of the songs she sang. We had a lot of fun!!

Chloe posing with Miley on the screen behind her. The screen doesn't really show up but we could see it really well!
Claire on her first 4th of July!
The fireworks at the Stadium of Fire are always amazing!

Jesse...

Another season of Bachelor/Bachelorette over. It was a good one!!

I waited to post this til all you Californians could watch and I wouldn't ruin it for you. She seriously had 2 great choices! I think last week when I watched I was totally rooting for Jason. He was totally settled down, steady job, cute kid, etc. Jesse was cool, but Professional Snowboarder, and "I think it would be fun to be a sports agent!" wasn't too impressive to me. But as I watched the boys go to Deanna's house, I started to like Jesse more. By the end I was totally torn between the two. Obviously the practical side of me thought for sure, easy pick....Jason. But on the other hand, something about Jesse's fun, silly, innocent personality grew on me...and I like how he calls her D! Jeff and I totally called it....they never choose the practical one, they always go with their heart (which I guess they should) and we knew who the winner would be. Jeff was totally bummed...I think because he is way more like Jason than Jesse, and I was sad too as I watched Jason walk straight up and get on his knee (why didn't he save himself a little embarrasment and wait for some vibes from her before he knelt down?). It's always sad to see a guy get his heart totally crushed, but I really liked Jesse too. She made a good choice, she really didn't have a bad one....hopefully he gets a real job someday!!! Oh, and I liked his tie!

And what was up with Jeremy coming back? Hello?? I mean your a cool guy and everything, a little lacking in the personality category if you ask me, but you totally got dumped...sorry!! Why embarrass yourself even more on national television???

A little later...
I just finished watching After the Final Rose. What a good guy Jason is. I bet he has hundreds of girls that would marry him in a second!! I'm totally impressed with him. Also, it sounds like she actually let him propose and they edited it out or something...lame. I do like her and Jesse together though!

Silly kids!

This is what we found when we got up this morning. Chloe got up in the middle of the night, and I had her go back to bed. I guess she got in Caleb's bed. Also, Caleb started out sleeping with his head facing the other way.

Fun in the Sun!

I just LOVE the warm weather!!

Jeff got off early from work last Friday because they built a new building for the company, so he had to pack up his stuff so it could be moved. Anyway, he played out in the backyard in the pool Chloe got for her birthday with the kids. They had so much fun.

Sad part of the story: the pool is gone now. I noticed that the wind blew it so you could see it from the front of our house, and I never moved it. Then yesterday I realized that I hadn't seen it so I went out and checked and the pool is totally gone. I don't know if the wind just blew it away or if someone took it, but they had so much fun in it for the week or two that we had it! I'll have to try and find another one.

My kids favorite new past time is catching bugs. Just the wimpy ones though...thankfully. They catch rolly polly's almost every day and put them in a jar, then let them go at night (we learned that if we keep them in the jar too long, they die!) This lady bug is the only other bug besides the Rolly Polly's that they have caught!

Chloe's friend Olivia's birthday party. Chloe is 3rd from the right.
