My uniform...

As I just sit here looking at my outfit I realize that for some strange reason, I seem to lean towards a black shirt and some kind of denim bottom. Maybe it's the years of working at Chili's engrained in my mind. I try to branch out and buy different color shirts, and I do have a bunch of them, but I always end up back with my trusty black shirt. I have an assortment of different black shirts, don't worry, I'm not always wearing the same one! I know the biggest reason for my love of black....

side note.....my kids just ran in the room totally buck naked chasing eachother (they got out of the bath about 10 minutes ago and still haven't gotten dressed....to be a kid again!)

Anyway, black is the most flattering color. So until I'm back where I want to be, you'll probably be seeing me in my Uniform!

For example.....

Ugly picture I know, why Jeff took this of me as I was walking by him without telling me, I'll never know, but see the black shirt? (This was Jeff's mom's bday, Chloe fell and cut her nose about 5 minutes before they got there for cake!)
Totally random, I know!

Last week....

On Tuesday evening, I was mowing the lawn and kept coming in every 5 or 10 minutes to check on the kids. Caleb must have been so exhausted from our trip that he fell asleep on the couch in the dragon costume. Jeff got home about 10 minutes after I saw him and he was no longer sleeping on the couch, but must have fallen off onto the floor.....

Jeff got tickets from work to go to the Real Salt Lake soccer game on Saturday night. We took the kids with us and had a great time. I was a little worried at first because about 20 minutes into the game Caleb said, "Can we just go home now? I'm tired of waiting for it to be over!" But he ended up being good....

Chloe is such a great big sister and loves to snuggle her little baby Claire (yesterday)....

The rest...

Hanging out with family..... Avery and Claire
Great Grandma and Claire
Great Grams and Claire....she's 89 1/2...pretty good, huh?
Dad meeting Claire for the first time....sorry dad, not the best picture! Keep your eyes open next time! :)

At the Park.....

On Chloe's birthday we (me, my mom, Allyson...and we took Abbie since Lindsey was still at the hospital) took the kids to the park. There were tons of Chipmunks there. The kids had the best time chasing them (with my mom...not surprising). Now they call it "Chipmunk Park"!

Something must have scared her or something...I think the look on her face is so funny!

At a different park.....
Chloe and Hailey
Caleb, Chloe and Avery...I forgot that there was a water area there, so the kids got wet in their clothes!

We met April and her kids, and I brought Avery with me, at a park by Whitney Ranch. It's the coolest park. It seriously is gigantic. It has parts that are 3 stories high, and a water area for the kids to play and get wet. We'll definitely go there again some time, the kids had so much fun!

Swimming Lessons....

I put Chloe and Caleb in swimming lessons while we were there. They had a program that was one week, the last week we were there, it was perfect. By the end of the week Chloe was doing awesome and so much more confident. Caleb's class didn't challenge him as much, probably because it was for 3-4 year olds, but he still did well. Anyway, they got practice in my parents' pool, and the day after swimming lessons ended, Chloe was all over the pool without floaties, and when I finally got Caleb to try swimming without his floaties, he could too (not quite as well as Chloe). My main goal was to have them be able to swim to the side and get out if they ever fell in a pool, and I'm pretty sure they would be able to!
Leaving.... :(

Fun times...

We had some fun and exciting things happen while we were in California......

Probably the most exciting was that we added another cousin to the fam. Cassidy Ann Jones was born on May 31!!! It was so great to be able to be there (not in the room) at the hospital when she was born. She is adorable and Claire already loves her....

Grammy with her two newest grandkids....15 total now!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHLOE!!!!
Cassidy decided to make life crazy for us by coming on the same day of Chloe's birthday party! Lindsey basicaly had 2 due dates....Either May 25th or June 2nd. We hung around all week waiting, expecting her to go into labor, but nothing! Finally on Saturday, the 31st, Lindsey called just before 8:00 am and said she thought she was in labor...of all days, she had to wait til Chloe's party day! I planned the party for 2pm so I'd have all morning to get things ready and not stress, but Cassidy had another plan I guess. I did some things, the went to the hospital around 11:15 or so and within 15 minutes of when I got there, she was ready to push. I can't remember the exact time she was born, I think just after noon. So I got to see her, then rush to Costco to pick up the cake (yeah, I got lazy again!) and to Walmart for forks and Sherbet for the punch. I made it back just in time and thanks to Allyson, Grandma, Jeff (he did a great job decorating while I was gone!), and Tim for helping everything went great and we had lots of fun swimming and chatting with friends and family!!!

Some other exciting news is that Chloe lost her first tooth!! It was just barely loose a couple days before that, but her sweet little brother helped her out by bonking the back of his head into her tooth and then it was really loose. She was playing with it and pushed it back and couldn't get it back into place. Then we were eating tacos for her birthday dinner and it fell out and luckily she didn't swallow it. Pretty cool that she lost her first tooth on her 6th birthday!

Birthday celebration on her "real" birthday...

More pictures to come...I know it's a lot but we just had so much fun!!!

3 months old!

Claire turned 3 months old while we were in Cali, so I took her to get her picture taken. The
blanket she's laying on is the one my grandma made for her (I wish I would have thought to use the blanket she made for Chloe and Caleb when they were 3 months).

And since I didn't have a blog to post pictures of Chloe and Caleb when they were babies, and because I like to compare (still trying to figure out which one she looks like, maybe she's just a good combo) here are Chloe and Caleb at 3 months.

Chloe....(the picture that everyone loves of her...notice the rolls on the back!)

We're Back!!

We had a fabulous vacation the past 24 days....yes 3 weeks and 3 days! We all drove out to California to visit my family on the Saturday before Memorial Day! We stayed with my parents and Jeff stayed too for 10 days, then he had to go to Mexico for work. So he flew there from Sacramento and was there for 5 days, then flew back to Utah to work for the following week. Then he flew back out to Sacto on Friday the 13th and we drove home all together yesterday! Confusing I know, but it was so fun.

First of all....Happy 7 years to us on Sunday! I can't believe it has been that long! Jeff made me a really neat picture frame with picutres in it from the past 8 years! He spent a lot of time finding pictures and everything...it was a really cool gift! Good Job Jeff! Also a gift certificate for a massage...I've never had one before so I'm excited to try it! We went to BJ's for dinner while my mom watched the kiddos! We haven't been out just the two of us since before Claire was born I think, it was very nice!

not the greatest picture, I guess I need to take more of just us

Every once in a while, our anniversary falls on Father's Day, and it did this year. Here's some pics from Father's Day!!

Us trying to get a good family picture...

Caleb wanted to take a picture of everyone making a mad face!

The best one! Had I known that Chloe had the Tie card that she made for Jeff at church in her dress, I would have made her take it off...oh well!!

The kiddos...

I just put all the pictures of our trip on the computer and there were 132!! I'll have to sort through and get some on the blog soon!
