Cute little Claire

Here's a little video of Claire just hanging out! I love these jammies she's wearing. They were Chloe's. They say Jockey around the waistband and have a cute little gather on the front! I was trying to get her to "talk". She did a tiny bit toward the end, but not as much as I was hoping!

BREAKTHROUGH!

We have finally made progress with Caleb. I am so incredibly excited. He went potty in the toilet THREE times today. He did have one accident, but we weren't home....we had walked to pick up Chloe and he did it while they were playing at the school playground on the way home. But still, three out of four is a huge step!! Hopefully it will just get easier from here on out and we won't have to deal with too many accidents!!!

Monday News...

Caleb FINALLY went potty in the toilet for pretty much the first time! We're so excited. He drank a 12 oz. Powerade at Chloe's soccer game during half time, so I knew as soon as we got home we had to make him try. He didn't want to try but we made him anyway. After a couple minutes he finally did it! It was a HUGE deal and he was so happy. We went and got ice cream cones and pizza to celebrate! I know it may seem like a lot for just going potty once, but we have tried SO hard and he has been so discouraged that it was a really big thing for him! Hopefully he'll start to get it now!!!

Chloe scored a goal again tonight. This is the 3rd game in a row that she has scored. She totally hustled tonight and got several good shots! She's getting better every game and it's so fun to watch. She really likes playing soccer!

Claire started "talking" today. A bunch of times while I was talking to her she made the cutest little sounds with an adorable little smile on her face. She's so cute and getting so big all the time. It's crazy how fast they grow!!

Our little chubby girl!!! Don't you just want to kiss those cheeks???

DAY 6!!

So here we are....day 6 of trying to get Caleb potty trained! Any progress yet?? Um...not really! On Saturday morning he did run to me, holding himself and saying, "Mommy, please help me!" I was so excited so I half way lifted him up to help him run faster to the bathroom, and just as we were about to go in, he fell and bonked on the door and of course started crying and got all upset. I still stood him in front of the toilet and there was a tiny drip, but he just couldn't get the rest out. I called Jeff to try to help him, but he was at a golf tournament. So I called my parents and my dad tried to help him, but nothing worked. So I was excited and told him how proud I am of him, but since then....NOTHING! Thanks to Lindsay's comment, I'm going to start making him clean it up himself today...he already has once. He kept saying, "I like cleaning up my toys, but not potty." Really? You like cleaning up your toys? I couldn't tell!

Anyway, I'm determined to potty train him. I told him we won't buy diapers anymore, so I can't do that. However, I didn't say I wouldn't buy pull-ups so occasionally I'm tempted to do that. But then I remind myself that it's NEVER going to happen if we don't be persistent.

My patience are getting SOOOO thin.....actually they're already gone!!!!

Potty Training

UGHHH! That's about how I feel with it right now. Probably everyone knows the frustration of potty training. I decided yesterday, with one diaper left, that I am SO tired of buying diapers and changing Caleb. He turned 4 in February and has made almost no progress toward being potty trained. I told Caleb that I'm not buying diapers again and that he has to learn. So I put him in "big boy" underwear all day yesterday. He went in his pants twice at home and twice at Chloe's soccer game....and not once in the toilet I brought one change of clothes to the soccer game because I knew he probably would.....and he did before the game even started. Then we let them play on the playground after the game and he did there again.

It's hard because he has only gone in the toilet one time EVER....and that was last summer at my parents' house. I don't think he gets it. He "tries" all the time but says that he can't get it to come out. We have tried every incentive. In fact, yesterday he asked if we could go to Chuck E. CHeese again and I said, "yeah, if you go in the toilet we'll go that day for dinner" to which he replied, "I don't like all these things that I get when I go in the toilet." Seriously, when that kid finally goes in the toilet once, he'll be the happiest kid because we'll be going to Chuck E. Cheese, he'll get to wear his new transformers underwear, ice cream cones, new jammies, swimming lessons, etc.!!

I even left him in his undies last night and he kept them dry all night. Then this morning, I had him try to go and about 5 minutes after he tried, he went in his pants (and on the carpet...YUCK!)

I don't know what to do to make him get it. I have to make sure all his pants are clean at the beginning of the day because by the end, they'll all be dirty.....and I'll wash them again for the next day! Will it ever end?

Go Chloe!!

Chloe had a soccer game last night and she SCORED A GOAL!!! She was so excited! It's so fun to watch her out there playing! Good job Chloe!!

Funny Caleb

Allyson...you'll enjoy this!

When Allyson and her family came out to visit, Mason brought his Buzz Lightyear toy and Caleb loved it. He kept saying "To the cities and the yards" (Buzz really says "To infinity and beyond")

Well today he came up to me randomly and asked me, "What does Starker man look like?"
I said, "Who?".
Caleb-"Starker man, you know the one Buzz lightyear talks to?"
Me- "You mean Star Command?"
Caleb-"No, STAR-KER MAN"....very slowly so I totally understood what he was saying.

what was I thinking, of course starker man.

And he still doesn't believe me that I don't know what Starker man looks like, he thinks I saw him when I was a kid and I just forgot!

Sunday....

Hopefully nobody gets tired of my many many pictures. My whole family and most of my friends don't get to see us that often and Claire changes SO quickly that I want everyone to see what she's like all the time!!! That way it won't be seem like she's so different when we see everyone in June!! (I can't wait!)

Claire and Chloe! Chloe just absolutely adores her baby sis! She is always wanting to snuggle her!

Claire in her cute little dress my mom got for her! It was our first normal Sunday back at church! We went last week, but it was her blessing, so it wasn't "normal"! And notice that her eyes are totally blue!

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSH!!

Chloe always wants to help me give Claire a bath so I decided to put Claire's tub in with Chloe on Saturday! Chloe loved it!

The water looks kind of cool in the background of this one!

Claire is getting SO chubby SO fast! I guess I should expect it since Chloe and Caleb both were! I can't believe how fast she's growing!

6 WEEKS OLD!

Claire is already 6 weeks old...crazy. She has changed so much!! She's following her sister and turning into a little chub, she's smiling occasionally, she's really awake and alert a lot of the day, she's staring at things and following things with her eyes! I love love love having a little tiny baby again. I forgot how great and amazing it is to watch them grow. I want her to stay little, but I can't wait to see how she is as she gets older!!!

Claire's blessing...and the rest of the weekend

We had Claire's blessing on Sunday! My mom, grandma, Lindsey (sister AKA Ninnie) and Abbie (her little girl) came from California and stayed the weekend with us. I was telling them I might be ok staying in Utah if family came to visit every weekend!! Thanks to ve

Grandma holding Claire for the first time when they got here Thursday night!

Caleb in his Jazz gear. Jeff got ticket to the Xango suite at the Jazz game again on Saturday so he took Caleb with him and afterwards got him some wristbands (he already had the jersey!) If you ask him who is number 5 he'll say "Carlos Boooozer" in his announcer voice.

A day at the snow!

We had SOO much fun playing at the snow!! I'm a little behind in putting these on, they're from when Allyson and her fam were here! We found a great spot to sled, just past Sundance. I think the big kids (Tim and Jeff) had just as much fun, if not more, than the little kids!!!

Caleb was hilarious. He would take his little boogie board sled up the hill, set it down in front of him, and lay down (with his back toward the bottom of the hill) never looking back and just sled down backwards. He did it over and over and had a blast. Watch the video at the bottom

Tim and Mason...can't you just see the joy on Tim's face!

Me, Allyson and Claire. I think I'm so funny when I smile until the person taking the picture says "3" then I make a funny face!!

Chloe and her daddy...look at his face!! :)

Jeff decided to take Caleb up the hill to where it was a little bit steeper, and they crashed at the end! Caleb wasn't too happy

Jeff and Tim decided to go up the hill even farther where it was even more steep. They actually caught air on one part....this is Jeff at the bottom.

Random picture of Mason and Caleb that I forgot to post earlier. They were "making" something. I had made coffee cake and they were using all the extra stuff to create their own thing. Caleb was totally serious and concentrating.
